About The Role

Flower Pots Day Nursery is currently looking for caring and enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly team as a Lunchtime Cover Assistant.

This part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and is looking for flexible daytime hours within a supportive nursery environment. Whether you already have experience in childcare or are looking to begin a career in early years, we would love to hear from you.

As part of our lunchtime cover team, you will support the nursery during the busiest part of the day, helping to create a safe, positive, and welcoming environment for children and staff.

This role offers part-time hours from 10:00am to 2:00pm, making it a great opportunity for those looking for flexibility around other commitments.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting children during mealtimes and daily routines

Helping to maintain a safe and welcoming environment

Engaging with children through play and activities

Supporting the nursery team throughout the day

Building positive relationships with children and staff

Helping promote children’s wellbeing and development

What We’re Looking For

A genuine passion for working with children

A caring, positive, and reliable attitude

Good teamwork and communication skills

Previous childcare experience preferred but not essential
